Tim Cole – Tim and his family came to Virginia in 1997 to help plant Forefront Church in Virginia Beach. Forefront celebrated Virginia Vision’s largest launch to date with 517 attending on opening day! After settling in at around 300, Forefront grew to 750 by their 3rd anniversary. Tim’s experience at Forefront: attracting a crowd and transforming it into a congregation gives him the unique perspective to lead this new church. Tim has been the Director of Church Planting for the VEF for the past 4 years. Under his leadership the VEF has planted 5 new churches around Virginia. Tim’s hobbies are golf (rain or shine), restoring his 1970 Torino GT Convertible and consuming all things chocolate. Contact information: 804.690.7919
Rob Kastens - Rob has served as the Executive Pastor at Mountain Christian Church just north of Baltimore, MD since April of 2002, where he provides leadership of the Pastoral Staff and serves as a part of the church’s leadership team. Rob grew up as a preacher’s kid in Kingsport, Tenn. Rob has two great kids (Kylie and Blaine) and a lovely wife (Kelly, Director of Programming, Worship Arts at Mountain), and a fun little dog named Fritz. Rob is a 1986 alumnus of Milligan College and also earned a Masters degree from Loyola University of Chicago. Rob is a passionate fan of Tennessee Volunteers football! Rob strives towards developing leaders to accomplish Mountain’s mission – to make disciples…more and better disciples. He also strives to help Mountain continue to look forward to where God would have us grow as we impact the Baltimore/Washington D.C. region and our world for Christ. Rob’s life mission is to have a life and faith worth imitating (Heb. 13:7), to develop leaders of prevailing churches (Acts 2:42-47), to bind up the broken hearted (Luke 4:18-19), and to call all people to be authentic followers of Christ (Col. 1:28). David Robinson – David has made his home in Maryland for the past 13 years. Originally from Bristol, Tennessee (That’s right – home to the world’s fastest half mile…and Dave) he still gets back there occasionally to cheer on his beloved Tennessee Volunteers. After working with Middle School and High School students for a dozen years, David jumped aboard to lead the effort to start Community Christian Church in White Marsh, MD. He’s known as the Lead Minister, which means he talks a lot. David has been married to his gentle and encouraging wife Melanie for 11 years and they have 3 children who eerily resemble their Dad. When he’s not wrestling with his kids or roaming around the halls of CCC, you’ll most likely find David with a book or a basketball in his hands. Contact information: 410.933.8330
Pat Furgerson - After working at Perot Systems for 5 years as a server and network administrator, Patrick left the private sector to work for New Life Christian Church - a church planting church. Serving as an associate minister working primarily in operations for 5 years led Patrick to transition to the Passion for Planting ministry of New Life. In this role, Patrick was a project manager for dozens of new churches and developed many systems and processes to be used with new church start ups across the U.S. In addition to continuing oversight of the project management ministry, Patrick has returned to local ministry serving as an associate minister at New Life where he serves in a variety of positions.
